Dance making Workshops

SCDP believes that the creative process is and transformative. We are happy to offer dance-making workshop for all ages and levels of experience. The workshops begin with a basic guided movement warmup and then progress through a series of improvisational and choreographic structures. Culture Blocks: Dancing the Poem: a FREE VIRTUAL Collaborative Movement and Poetry Writing Workshop

Dancing the Poem is an online collaborative movement and poetry writing workshop that will engage participants in an exploration of the poetic form through movement. Directed by dance educator and choreographer, Sarah Council, participants will experience both poetry and dance as powerful modes of expression that utilize imagery, emotion, and rhythm. All levels of experience and ability welcome!
